Creativity shaped by movement

Kaushika Nayyar is a designer and artist from Toronto, working across print, pattern, painting and beadwork. Her work has followed her — through the countries she's lived in, the cultures she's absorbed, and the different hands that shaped how she makes things. Colour and repetition became a way of carrying place with her.

That movement extends beyond her own practice. Kaushika partners with community centres around the world, working alongside underrepresented groups on projects that put design in service of others. Right now, she's working across several projects in art, design and community — still moving, still shaping.
